Huainan Union University

Huainan Union University was established in September 1984. It is a comprehensive higher vocational college sponsored by CPC Huainan Municipal Committee and Huainan Municipal Government, and is a construction unit of local skilled high-level universities in Anhui Province.

The school currently has three campuses in Tianjia’an District, two campuses in Vocational Education Park of the High-tech Development Area, and one campus in Panji District, covering an area of approximately 1600 mu. It has seven schools, including the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Pharmaceutical and Materials, the School of Humanities and Foreign Languages, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Architecture and Art, and the School of Medicine, four teaching institutions, including the School of Further Education, the School of Public Education, the School of Marxism, and the Division of Secondary Vocational Education, three subordinate secondary vocational schools, namely, Huainan Health School, Huainan Transportation Vocational School, and Panji Engineering Technology Vocational School, and one municipal affiliated hospital (Huainan Third People’s Hospital).

There are over 23000 students of various types in the main campus. Among them, there are more than 13000 higher vocational students, nearly 2000 five-year vocational students, and over 8000 students in radio and television university and adult education. At present, there are 570 full-time teachers. Among them, there are 16 professors, 156 associate senior titles such as associate professor and senior engineer, and 70% of full-time teachers hold master’s degrees or above. Among full-time teachers, the proportion of “double-position ” teachers at all levels reaches 80%.There are a total of 43 permanent vocational majors in the university , involving 12 major categories and 24 professional disciplines. Among them, there are 16 provincial-level characteristic majors, including electrical automation technology, electromechanical integration technology, medical beauty technology, applied English, big data and accounting, construction engineering technology, dental medicine technology, legal affairs, nursing, project cost, mechanical design and manufacturing, marketing, e-commerce, and computer network technology, The matching degree between major and industry in Huainan City and surrounding areas has reached 98%, cultivating a large number of technical and skilled talents for local economic and social development.
