“Full Moon in China, Fulfillment in Shou County -- Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival in Shouzhou Ancient City” Series of Cultural Activities to Present a Spectacular Celebration

The Mid-Autumn Festival, with the cultural essence of “reunion and harmony,” is the most important traditional festival in China, second only to the Spring Festival.  During the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, Shou County, a famous historical and cultural city in China, will launch a meticulously planned series of cultural events titled “Full Moon in China, Fulfillment in Shou County -- Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival in Shouzhou Ancient City”. Festivities will include wearing Hanfu, moon gazing, and torch playing. The nation's exclusive  “Chu Culture” immersive Mid-Autumn Festival carnival, the uniquely distinctive Grand Mid-Autumn Torch Festival of the Jianghuai region, and a Mid-Autumn themed gala by leading national art troupes will together create a vibrant Mid-Autumn celebration, offering visitors an exclusive and perfect Mid-Autumn night in Shouzhou Ancient City. Additionally, the grand opening of the Hengtai City commercial complex will further invigorate Shouzhou’s cultural tourism sector, offering visitors a comprehensive and high-quality cultural tourism experience.

A romantic moon rises over the water, inviting visitors to enjoy exclusive Mid-Autumn views along the ancient city moat. The moat of Shouzhou Ancient City, with nearly a thousand years of history, has witnessed the rise and fall of Shouchun, the ancient Chu capital, and the changes of the times. Alongside the ancient city walls, it forms one of the most significant landmarks of Shouzhou Ancient City. The moon has long been the most evocative symbol of the Mid-Autumn Festival in China. During the festival, the Shouzhou Ancient City moat will be transformed into a dazzling “show stage,” where an enchanting full moon will rise over the moat outside Binyang Gate, creating a breathtaking and exclusive Mid-Autumn scene unique to Shouzhou Ancient City.
