The Dragon Boat Race at Shouzhou Ancient City

On the morning of November 9, the 14th “Shouzhou Ancient City Cup” Yangtze River Delta Urban Dragon Boat Invitational and Anhui Provincial Youth Dragon Boat Open (University Group) officially began outside the Tongfei Gate of Shou County. This was the first time that Shou County, a national historical and cultural city, hosted a formal large-scale dragon boat competition on its city moat. Twelve dragon boat teams from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Anhui, along with 18 university teams from across Anhui province, competed in the Yangtze River Delta Group, University Open Group and University Mixed Group 200-meter and 500-meter races. The photo shows the intense competition as the teams race in close pursuit of each other on the ancient city moat.
