Huainan Chunshenli Cultural and Tourism District Officially Opens
The Phoenix Dances in Huainan, ushering in Chunshenli. On the morning of December 28, the opening ceremony for the Huainan Chunshenli Cultural and Tourism District was held. Covering a total construction area of approximately 78,000 square meters, the district draws inspiration from the concept of “A Journey Through Chu Culture, A New Oasis for Urban Culture.” It integrates four major themes—culture, fashion, art, and leisure—into its historical context. The district comprises five functional zones: themed cultural area, quality life zone, exquisite dining zone, urban reception zone, and leisure and entertainment zone. The project aims to create a cultural showcase for Huainan City and a leisure life center for citizens. Construction of the project began on June 12, 2023, and after a year and a half, a series of tasks including engineering construction, business attraction, and operational launch have been completed. Currently, there are 125 merchants in the district undergoing renovations, with 82 merchants having opened in the first batch, creating over 3,000 jobs.
The opening of the Chunshenli Cultural and Tourism District reflects the Huainan Municipal Party Committee and Government's commitment to deeply implementing President Xi Jinping's important remarks during his visit to Anhui. It is a strategic move to promote the integrated development of culture and tourism in Huainan and to enhance the city's brand as “Chu Elegance, Han Charm, Scenic Huainan.” The initiative aims to attract commercial activity, stimulate consumption, and lead urban trends. Moreover, it is a key initiative to establish a high-quality living demonstration zone in the High-tech Zone, prioritizing the well-being of residents. With a wide variety of merchants, diverse business formats, and rich, engaging settings, the district offers a one-stop cultural and tourism consumption experience for citizens and visitors alike. It is poised to become a new urban leisure landmark and a must-visit destination for unique cultural tourism.
