Anfengtang
Anfengtang, a national 3A-level tourist attraction, formerly known as Quebei, was built 2600 years ago by Sun Shuao, the Prime Minister of Chu State. It is one of the four major water conservancy projects in ancient China and a key cultural relic under national protection. The bank is 25 kilometers long and it covers an area of 340000 square kilometers, with a water storage capacity of 100 million cubic meters and an irrigation area of 830000 mu. It is known as the “Number One Pond in the world”. Its scientific site selection and reasonable engineering layout have provided valuable experience for the construction of large-scale water conservancy projects in later generations. In 2015, Anfengtang was selected as World Heritage Irrigation Structure, making it the first “World Heritage Irrigation Structure” in Anhui Province.
